The  was introduced in 2018 to recognize institutions that are committed to advancing the success of Latine/x students. On October 1, leaders in higher education, business, and government gathered in Washington, D.C., to honor Cal State East Bay as one of eight institutions receiving the Seal for the first time, joining an exclusive group of just 46 universities nationwide to earn this prestigious recognition.
