AI Guidelines: Town Halls
Information Technology Committee (ITC) of CSUEB Academic Senate will be hosting a series of
online town-halls during the month of October 2025 for our community (students, faculty, and
staff).
ITC recognizes that AI introduction on our campus is not just about a technology upgrade, an
innovation tool made available to all, for the sake of equity, for our strategic initiatives. It is –
importantly -- about transformation, resilience, and the human side of technology advancements. Therefore, ITC is seeking your input to learn how you view generative AI and its use in your work (across disciplines, departments, units, and levels).
ITC would like to hear what you believe should be guiding principles of generative AI use. It will help draft some guidelines that reflect our unique needs, interests and concerns and guide policy and decision-making.
Owing to the interconnectedness of our work and technology-use principles, the guidelines will help define what responsible, safe and ethical use of generative AI should look like to support our institutional goals and outcomes.
Hosted by our campus thought-leaders, the online town-halls kick off the week of Oct. 6. Join us via zoom.
