Cal State East Bay has been named one of the nation’s best colleges. list recognizes institutions offering the strongest educational value and post-graduate success.

The prestigious national ranking list evaluates colleges and universities across the United States based on key factors such as career readiness, financial value, alumni earnings and graduation outcomes. Out of more than 2,500 eligible institutions nationwide, only 500 made the cut.

“Cal State East Bay’s inclusion reflects our growing reputation for delivering high-quality education that translates into real-world success,” said Interim Vice President. Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Brenda Amenson-Hill. “With a strong emphasis on experiential learning, social mobility and student success, the university continues to serve as a vital educational hub for the East Bay region and beyond.”

The recognition comes as the university celebrates several important milestones that underscore its momentum and commitment to student success:

• Enrollment is up for the first time in several years, with a 3.65% increase in California resident enrollment — driven largely by growth in new transfer and graduate students.
  
  
• Eight new partnerships have been established this year with local K–12 school districts, expanding pathways for future college students across the region.
  
  
• The university recently launched a new One-Stop Student Services Center, streamlining support for new and returning students and significantly increasing campus tours and visitor engagement — doubling the prior volume.
  
  
• Students continue to benefit from in-person and flexible online academic programs, allowing for greater access and adaptability.
  
  

The university is proud to announce the opening of a new College of Health, which will expand academic offerings and address the critical need for healthcare professionals in California and across the nation.
