More about George Hanna

I use a Rogerian approach when counseling students. I provide students with unconditional positive regard. My goal is to empower students to make the best informed decisions when it comes to their educational path.
I went to Diablo Valley College after high school and transferred to UC Davis. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies. I then went on to get my Master’s Degree in Counseling from St. Mary’s College of California.
Top defining moment in Higher Education for me was walking across the stage with my 1 year old son as I graduated with my Master’s Degree from St. Mary’s College of California. Such a beautiful moment to share with my son.
I had many successes and failures in college but what I remember most is making lifelong friends that I keep in touch with 20 years later. I even met my wife in college.
I’m a father of 3 children and I love spending time with family. I love basketball (playing and watching), reading books and listening to audiobooks. I also love everything Star Wars!
